These precision thermometers are manufactured in strict accordance with ASTM precision standards. These thermometers are designed for use as primary reference standards and for research work where temperatures must be measured with extreme accuracy. They are 15" in length and are calibrated for total immersion up to the reading line. They are furnished with a calibration certificate from the NIST (National Institute for Standards and Technology). Matched sets of these thermometers are also available. The L5040 contains all nine Celsius thermometers which have overlapping ranges from -38°C-405°C and the L5050 contains all nine Fahrenheit thermometers which have overlapping ranges from -36°C-761°C.
